Alpha Alimamy Kamara received the B.Eng. (Hons.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Sierra Leone in 2015 and the M.Eng. degree in Software Engineering from Nankai University, China, in 2021.

From 2016 to 2019, he worked at Africell as a Radio Network Planning and Optimization Engineer, where he was actively involved in the design, deployment, and optimization of cellular communication networks. In this role, he gained substantial industry experience in radio network performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization of large-scale telecommunications systems.
Between 2021 and 2023, he served as a Principal Lecturer at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Sierra Leone. His responsibilities included undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, student supervision and mentorship, as well as engagement in applied research across computing and engineering disciplines. His academic career reflects a strong integration of engineering practice with scholarly inquiry.

He is currently a PhD student at Central South University, China. His research interests include deep learning, medical image analysis, computer vision, and multimodal image fusion, with a particular focus on developing robust and generalizable models for complex real-world data.

In addition to his academic work, he has contributed extensively to large-scale data-driven political and organizational processes. He served as a Data Analyst for the All People’s Congress (APC) during the 2021/2022 Interim Transition Governance Committee (ITGC) process and the National Delegates Convention. He also served as a Data Analyst and Software Engineer for the Independent Elections Monitoring Committee (IEMC) during the 2022 parliamentary, council, district chairmanship, mayoral, and party symbol award exercises, where he developed and optimized the IEMC Election Monitoring Software.

He currently serves as the Regional Coordinator for the Northwest Region, providing strategic leadership, coordination, and organizational oversight.
